The Neosho Municipal Golf Course is a beautiful 27-hole facility with three distinctively different nine hole layouts. After receiving a multi-million dollar renovation that began in 1997 and was completed in 2001, the City of Neosho received the only 27-hole golf course in the area. The original nine holes constructed in 1924 by famous golf architect Perry Maxwell who designed such golf courses as Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK were left in tact with exceptions of new greens and bunkering.

The Oaks is a par 35 with three par 3's and back to back risk reward par 5's. This nine-hole layout provides exactly what the name says, with tree lined fairways on nearly every hole you will need to keep the ball in the fairway to have good scoring opportunities.

The Valley is the original 9-hole layout that was constructed in a valley running north and south. You very seldom get a break from the predominant southerly winds that blow right up the valley making club and shot selection difficult. The Valley is a par-35 that features just one par-5 followed by our signature hole, a downhill par-3 with water short and out of bounds to the right.

The Lakes is exactly what the name tells you, with water coming into play on seven of the nine holes. With a relatively flat layout that makes this nine the easiest of the three to walk it will give you a bit of a Scottish feel with open front greens, mounding and few wind breaks.

• Out of bounds fences and white stakes on No. 1, 2, 3, and 9.
• The golf course management may restrict player's continuance of play for improper conduct or for disregard of rules and golf etiquette.
• Allow faster players to play through.
• Singles or twosomes have no priority.
• No more than 5 players per group.
• Each player must have his/her own clubs.
• Hazards defined by red stakes.
• U.S.G.A. rated Pace of Play - 3 Hours 58 Minutes per 18 holes.  Please keep pace - Everyone behind you "Thanks you."
• Repair Ball marks on Greens
• Replace Divots
• Keep carts on cartpaths and outside all roped areas.

The 18-hole "Schifferdecker" course at the Schifferdecker Golf Course facility in Joplin, Missouri features 6,123 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 68.7 and it has a slope rating of 108 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Jim 'Slat' Latimere, the Schifferdecker Golf Course opened in 1922.
